I chose this video because it is our school's short movie last year and came first in the competition.I know all the actors and the actresses in the video.Also I witnessed the all the difficulties they undergone while taking this film.After nearly two-week deal,they managed to complete the film.The film tells us how he could not shoot a movie.Well,the scenario is interesting I know,but actually it is about what they undergone.Therefore it is so realistic movie.The performances of the actors and actresses are very succesful.Wheneever I watch this video,I become happy and start to laugh continuously.I hope it gives you the same pleasure..Have a good watch! :)

Cultural Identity

   One of the most important influences on Thai culture has been Buddhism. Many of the traditions and beliefs of the people in Thailand stem directly from Buddhist principles.  Hinduism has also made important contributions to Thai culture.It can be seen in art, literature, and in many Thai customs.The remaining third of the population is made up primarily of Chinese, as well as various minorities including Vietnamese, Khmer, Hmong, and Mein. Since the 1950s, Thailand’s government has made efforts to preserve and strengthen the sense of national culture and national identity. During the 1980s and 1990s, however, Thailand saw a resurgence in local culture and traditions. Although there is still a strong national identity, local food, dances, music, celebrations, and beliefs have begun to play a more important role in Thai life.
   ITS VALUES
Family is central to Thai life.Respect for elders and for those in higher social positions is also importantChildren are expected to respect their parents and teachers. The young must show deference to the elderly.  Those with highly prestigious positions in society, such as doctors, important public figures, and monks are almost revered.Although Thailand’s family life and society has been traditionally male-dominated, women are granted considerable respect. Recent laws and legislation have allowed women more freedom to move out of traditional roles and into professions such as politics, medicine, and business. Respect and equal rights for women has, in recent decades, become an important part of Thailand’s law and values.
       Finally,In general, displays of emotion in public are viewed in a very negative light.  No matter how frustrated or upset a person might feel, he or she will always strive to maintain a positive and friendly attitude, a sense of humor, and a smile.


   I want to give some information about Thailand because I went there 2 years ago for holiday.And it has become my favorite country in the world.I hope you can go and see Thailand one day..

Reflection 1b:I want to introduce you with Taner Ölmez.We know him from the soap-opeara Medcezir with the character Mert.When I first watched the Medcezir,Mert character caught my attention.Because he is very cute,talkative and funny.As I watched the Medcezir,I liked him much.Therefore,I think he is the person should be recognized.Let's get to know him a little bit..



   

  He was born on the first of January in 1986 in Istanbul.He graduated from Istanbul University State Conservatory in deparment of Theatre.His seventh year in this department.Because he is making theatre actively,he failed from some lessons that's why his school time has extended.When he was a student,he started to acting.He starred in many ad films.

  He is Cagatay ulusoy's castmate in Medcezir,and infact they are living in a same house.Thet get along very well as a roommate and a fellow actor.They are acting so successfully 

      The thing that I am very surprised at about him is his age.He is 28 years old but he looks as if he is just 18.This feature allows him to act more realistically in Medcezir.

     I have some information that his voice is good,too.I haven't heard him singing.But I would like to.I hope in the next episodes of Medcezir,we can see him singing.

 Well,with the character Mert in Medcezir,Taner Ölmez has joined the ranks of celebrities.Congratulations Taner.I wish you a successful life..

                                          WHAT İS WORTH KNOWİNG ABOUT ME?

     Hi,I am Melike.I am nineteen years old and I am studying at Metu.I come from Fethiye but now I have to live in Ankara.Therefore,you can understand that I have many difficulties living in this city after Fethiye.Because there isn't any sea which is my first criterion for the cities.Nevertheless,I am getting used to living here.Now,I want to talk about my hobies,dreams and my family.Since I was 8 years,I have been playing chess.Altough I had to give up last year due to the exams,I always give a place in my life to chess.Besides playing chess,I love playing tenis too.I am not very professional but,nearly for 2 years,I am playing tenis.One of my hobies is eating.When I said this to my friends first,they can't believe me.Because I am very thin.But I am so serious that I love eating which makes me so happy everytime I am depressed.If I could say something about my family,I should say that I love them very much like everyone do.My father's name is Erol.We have an Italian Restaurant and he runs it.My mother' name is Ülkü.She is a housewife.Also,I have one brother whoes name is Şamil.He goes to high school and he is very smart child.Let's talk little about my dreams.Because I am studying at English Foreign Education,for my future,I want to learn at least two more languages besides English.For better job opportunities and a quality life,I want to improve my skills.Moreover,when I started to work,first thing I want to do is buying a Qhasqai which is my favorite car.Yes,it is all about me..Then,what about yours?

He is Şemsettin. When he was born, his mother had already died. He has never known about his mother. He did not have any money to get by so he decided to leave country. After having many difficulties he got used to living in Turkey. One day  while he was walking along the street , he saw a beautiful women.He fell in love at first sight.He followed her and learnt  that the women was living in ODTU.To see the beautiful women more frequently , he decided to move to ODTU.A couple of days later , they met in Çatı. She loves him too.Since that day  , they had met everyday and this made their reltionship more powerful.Şemsettin believed that he found the women of his life.After having bought a ring for marriage , he called her to meet somewhere.While Şemsettin was waiting for her, he saw the Pakize coming towards him exicetedly.At that moment the red Ring which is going to preparition school crushed her suddenly and she died. Having seen her dying in front of his eyes , he was shocked. Since that day , Şemsettin has never miaowed. As you can see in this picture , he is miserable anymore..
